These are beautiful places that we have a wonderful relationship with and personally recommend. For a retreat on your own or one with an Awaken Within retreat facilitators- you can't go wrong with any of these venues!
Riversong Cabin Rentals, Elkin, NC
Whether it’s a retreat, a vacation, a romantic getaway, or a friend’s weekend; Riversong is our “go-to” venue in the North Carolina Foothills! They have four cabins that each accommodate 4 people; perfect for a group or custom individual or couples retreat. In addition to these new and spacious cabins with private fire pits and screened-in back porches, the 50-acre property is also located along Snow Creek and the Mitchell River, providing so much nature to explore. This incredible venue is close to waterfalls, wineries, and minutes to Mayberry (Mt. Airy), close to the mountain-to-sea trail (MTS), and the charming town of Elkin.
Stone Mountain State Park, NC
Located in Alleghany and Wilkes counties 60 miles northwest of Winston-Salem, Stone Mountain State Park is home to the 600-foot granite dome that is a designated National Natural Landmark and the historic Hutchinson Homestead, a restored mid-19th-century farm situated at the mountain base. The park offers nearly all types of outdoor activity to experience a high country landscape adorned with beautiful waterfalls, winding creeks, and bountiful trout streams. A portion of the Mountains-to-Sea State Trail runs through the park near the backcountry campsites.
This is a frequently requested custom personal retreat location for hikes with Katie or coaching day trips with Christy.

St. Benedicts Lodge
Our favorite west coast location for serenity and peace. This extraordinaire venue is located just outside of Eugene, Oregon on the breathtaking McKenzie River. It is open to the public for personal and group retreats. Pictures can not do this place justice; St. Benedict is a feeling that you never forget and a peace that stays with you!
The Light Center
Located just outside of the quaint town of Black Mountain, the Light Center and the Lodge have been sacred spaces of prayer and meditation for decades. This venue has nature trails along the river, a labyrinth, and the unique light center itself plus a lodge that easily accommodates 12 overnight guests and up to 25 day retreatants. This is a favorite among our facilitators and participants alike.
